Secure Select
What is SecureSelect?
SecureSelect is a non-invasive embryonic genetic assessment technique designed to prioritize the transfer of embryos with higher implantation potential based on their chromosomal makeup, without the need for biopsy.
How does it work?
This method is based on the analysis of DNA present in the culture medium. After allowing the embryo to evolve until day three in culture, it is transferred to a clean culture medium to continue its development until it becomes an expanded blastocyst. At this point, the embryo is vitrified, and the culture medium is analyzed using massive or next-generation sequencing (NGS) in the Genetics Unit.
Once the results are obtained, the transfer of embryos identified as euploid (without chromosomal abnormalities) is prioritized.
What are the benefits?
With this advanced embryo selection, which considers both the chromosomal status and morphology, couples will increase the success rate of the IVF cycle compared to conventional embryo selection. Additionally, this procedure is performed without subjecting the embryo to aggressive manipulations.
Secure Select provides information about the embryo’s genetic status with a reliability of 80%.
