DIAGNOSTIC PROTOCOL

First Consultation and Medical Evaluation

Assisted reproductive treatments are defined as the set of clinical and laboratory procedures that aim to achieve fertilization when it has not been achieved by natural means, i.e., they assist or facilitate the work of the egg and sperm to achieve fertilization as well as the arrival of the embryo in the uterine cavity.

These treatments can be simple or complex (low and high complexity).

The choice of treatment depends on the diagnosis of each couple, always seeking the technique that provides the highest success rate.

If you have a partner, it is necessary for him or her to accompany you so that we can discuss together and address all your questions.

During this session, we will perform an endovaginal ultrasound to assess your internal condition and inform you of the steps to follow.

If necessary, we will ask you to undergo some tests to determine if you are a candidate for any of the fertility treatments.

After these studies, we will ask you to schedule a second appointment to interpret them and recommend the treatment to follow.

DIAGNOSTIC PROTOCOL

Initial Consultation

At your first appointment, we conduct a complete evaluation of you and your partner to determine the cause of infertility.

We compile your medical record to identify the most important background information, perform an endovaginal ultrasound to assess the integrity of the uterus and ovaries, review results and reports of previous treatments if you have them, and request studies such as vaginal cultures, hormonal profiles, and semen analysis to determine possible causes of infertility.

At the next appointment, we will know what is happening. We will review the results of the requested studies, correct any abnormalities present, inform you of the reasons why you have not achieved pregnancy, in other words, we will seek to provide you with a comprehensive diagnosis.

At that point, we will define the most appropriate treatment to follow based on your specific case, discuss costs, and real prospects for achieving pregnancy, and if you decide, we will initiate treatment with which we hope to awaken a new heartbeat and nurture your dream of becoming parents.

If I already have previous studies, do I need to redo them with you?

It is important to bring the previous studies to know their results. Most studies have a validity period of 3 months, depending on the study in question, it will be evaluated whether it needs to be repeated or not.

How long will it take to get a diagnosis?

It depends on each case, in general, by the second or third consultation, we already have a diagnosis.
